About some of the dogs...
Pierce, a stunning male from our foundation bitch, is a wonderful bi-eyed black tri. He has recently sired a beautiful litter of puppies, and we kept a black tri female from that litter that we hope will turn out to be as gorgeous as her parents. Pierce now lives with Rachel and Jerry, who spoil him to excess!
His sister, Berries, is also a black tri. She is small, and quick, and incredibly correct. She has a bolder personality, and if it were not for her mother, Holly, would like very much to run the show.
"Dewberry" is a stunning blue merle male from our cross of our foundation bitch, "Holly", with Ch.Majestic's Winds of Dezire. "Dezi" is owned by Terri Bolhuis of Majestic Kennels in Michigan, and is a dog we had long admired for his soundness, type and spectacular personality. We see all those things in his children,...not a surprise since our Holly certainly personified all those qualities as well. Dewbee's movement is breathtaking to watch, and judges are taking notice. In very limited showing he has done his share of winning, and as he matures we expect to see him accomplish even more. View pedigree here. Brambleberry is the blue merle female we kept from that same cross, and she is just a delight to own. Not only a pleasure to look at, but she has the sweetest temperament you could ask for! What a treasure these dogs are, and we are thrilled to have finally made this match...we knew it would be good, but WOW. Our expectations have been exceeded all the way down the line.
Nash is one of our wisest additions. We have been so happy with the lovely type, movement, style, and brains from the Gitalong lines, that we went back and bought a son and daughter from Holly's remarkable sire, Hall of Fame, SVCH. WTCH. AKC/ASKA CH. Gitalong's Half Cocked, UD. We are already seeing such potential from this fellow, and are starting him in agility classes. He is super keen on everything he sees, and so willing. Just the temperment we were looking for. And he is wonderful with the grandson too...a must for us. He is showing amazing...but not surprising, abilities in Agility.
Skylark is Nash's sister, a lovely blue merle. She spent her first year in NY with friend Barbara, where she reaped the benefits of Barb's busy family (7 kids...imagine!) and a chance to 'grow out' away from her sibling. She has made herself at home here in the mountains of Western Maryland and it seems she has adopted our grandson, Raen.
Sparrow is our red bi. She is a younger 1/2 sister to our Hollyberry, sharing the same incredible dam, AM.CAN.ASKA.CH.Agape's Set The Style AM.CAN.ASKA.CD. She favors her mother in type, and is the live-wire of the place. Her sire is CH.Agape's Highly Chosen, a son of CH.Heathside Party Crasher.
Tab is a blue merle 'Cajun' son. He was purchased from Marquis Kennels for his nice bloodlines, and we fell in love with his laid back, easy going personality. He is just a doll to live with, and has sired a litter for us with our Sparrow, that turned out to be very nice indeed.
Nightwatch's Raven Maniac, a stunning black tri from Sparrow X Tab. This year old male is coming together beautifully, with flowing movement, and tremendous extension. He is a moving machine! We hope to get him out later this year.
